Rehearsals take place every Tuesday from September to May on the campus of Ashland University in room 242 (the choir room) of the Center for the Arts Building. Preparatory Choir meets from 6:00 – 7:00, Chorale meets from 7:00 – 8:30, and Angelorum meets from 8:30 – 9:00
The Ashland Symphonic Youth Chorus was established to immerse and educate children in the fine arts through the study and performance of choral music. Our goal is to train young voices so that each child many reach his/her highest potential as a musician and performer. We believe that by providing children with a rich and varied range of musical repertoire, both classical and contemporary, our young singers and our concert patrons alike will find the chorus a truly enjoyable experience!
We receive grant funds from The Ohio Arts Council. The Ohio Arts Council is a state agency that funds and supports quality arts experiences to strengthen Ohio communities culturally, educationally and economically. With funds from the Ohio Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts, the OAC provides financial assistance to artists and arts organizations
